Details

The Climate Leadership Programme is a joint initiative of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, aimed at young leaders already working on climate initiatives in their communities who want to strengthen their ability to influence policy. Eight participants will be selected.

Programme phases:

  • December 2026 to February 2027: online masterclasses and practical skills training covering EU climate governance, climate diplomacy, policy writing, and communication and advocacy. Attendance in this phase is mandatory, and only those who complete it proceed to Brussels.
  • 28 February to 6 March 2027: an intensive week in Brussels to gain first-hand insight into the EU policy landscape and engage with the European policy community.
  • Selected participants take part in CEPS Ideas Lab on 4–5 March 2027, a flagship event bringing together policymakers, researchers, business leaders and civil society representatives. Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung will also organise a side programme, with details shared with selected participants.
