The GEAF Ambassador Programme is a 6-month global initiative by the Green Earth Action Foundation. Ambassadors are selected through a rigorous application process and then join the GEAF Ambassador Cohort.
Through mentorship, capacity building and guided project implementation, ambassadors design and lead locally relevant initiatives in their communities. These initiatives are fully funded and implemented across five thematic areas:
- Waste Reduction & Pollution Prevention
- Marine & Water Protection
- Environmental Education & Community Empowerment
- Climate-Smart Agriculture Advancement
- Forest & Biodiversity Protection
Experts deliver training sessions for ambassadors. Previous sessions were facilitated by representatives from the ILO, IISD, CCC, SAIIA, UNEP, UNDP, WIPO and other organisations.
Selection stages:
- Application through the GEAF portal
- Initial screening
- First interview
- Project proposal refinement
- Second interview and selection
