The Women for Africa Foundation, with the support of the Directorate-General for Relations with Africa of the Government of the Canary Islands, has launched the Learn Africa Canarias Programme 2026. This online scholarship programme is designed for African women who are university students or graduates. The programme aims to strengthen participants' professional skills, improve their employability, and promote women's leadership in strategic sectors that contribute to Africa's sustainable development.


More than 450 scholarships are available in fields including Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economy, Sustainable Waste Management, Sustainable Project Development, Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation, Sustainable Tourism, International Relations, and Spanish language courses. All courses are delivered online by leading academic and professional institutions in the Canary Islands.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicant must be a woman.
  • Must hold the nationality of an African country.
  • Must currently reside in Africa.
  • Must be enrolled at an African university or hold a university degree issued in Africa.
  • Academic requirements vary depending on the selected scholarship.
  • Stable internet connection.
  • Appropriate technical equipment.
  • Must meet the specific requirements of the selected course.
