- Participants will conduct baseline community surveys.
- Participants will train, mentor, and mobilize community members.
- Formation of a Participatory Action Research (PAR) group consisting of 7–9 members.
- The program uses participatory methods to gather community insights and needs.
- Participants will design and implement local climate solutions.
- Participants are required to submit reports and contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement processes.
- Full commitment is required between June and September 2026.
- The program is conducted in both Arabic and English.
The “DOT Climate” program is a youth-led initiative that aims to build a movement driven by young people to promote climate action and sustainable community change. The program focuses on empowering youth to lead local initiatives addressing climate change through community awareness, participatory solution design, and implementation of community-led climate projects.
The program targets young leaders who have an interest or experience in climate issues, community engagement, digital tools, or advocacy. Throughout the program, participants will develop leadership and facilitation skills, gather community insights using participatory approaches, and implement practical climate solutions that create meaningful impact within their communities.
A “DOT Climate Champion” is a trained young leader who directly engages with their community to raise awareness about climate change, encourage behavioral change, and lead the design and implementation of sustainable local climate initiatives.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Applicants must hold Jordanian nationality.
- Applicants must currently reside in Jordan.
- Applicants must be university or college graduates.
- Ability to attend in-person training sessions in Amman as well as virtual sessions.
- Interest or experience in climate issues, community engagement, digital tools, advocacy, or facilitation.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and digital skills.
- Proficiency in using Google tools.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
- Availability and commitment throughout the program period.
- Monthly financial stipend for two months.
- Certificate upon successful completion of the program.
